Professor Michael Wallach

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

BSc (Univ. of Michigan, USA), MSc (Hebrew Univ., Israel), PhD (Hebrew Univ., Israel)

​Professor Wallach has over 25 years of experience in basic and applied molecular parasitology with a background in both academic and industrial science.

Professor Wallach was appointed (Sept. 2002) as the Inaugural Director of the Institute for the Biotechnology of Infectious Diseases (IBID) at the University of Technology, Sydney. He has spent periods of time working all over the world including in the USA at the Rockefeller University, New York, New York, in Israel at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem and in Europe at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Studies on malaria and Leishmania were ground-breaking and led to publications in some very prestigious journals (Nature, PNAS).

Prof. Wallach's project on Eimeria in chickens (the causative agent of coccidiosis, which is the most economically important disease in the chicken industry), has led to the development, patenting, registration and marketing of a maternally based subunit vaccine against the disease called CoxAbic®. This vaccine was marketed by Abic Ltd., a subsidiary of Teva Israel.​ Learn more

Law degrees from Hebrew Univ., Israel, and Univ. of Sydney, Australia.  Admitted as Barrister at Law.

Anthony has over 40 years’ experience as a senior executive across a broad range of diverse and challenging roles including business strategy, managing businesses, sales, innovation, fund raising, investment and advisory.​

Anthony has worked as an executive, advisor and board member to sustainably grow business for multinationals (Time Warner, CanWest Communications, Kronos, Intralinks), Australian corporates (Network Ten, Experience Digital), investment banking, advisory (EY, PWC), start-ups (Katasi, Cheetah Experiences), not-for-profits (Outcomes Australia, SupplyNation, Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Data Governance Australia), government (Northern Sydney Local Health District Board, The NSW Export and Investment Advisory Board), Indigenous-owned businesses (Integrity Health & Safety, Goanna Solutions) – and across the world including USA, Israel, South Africa and Australia.

He drives strategy and implementation in order to deliver measurable, sustainable value to all stakeholders by combining multi-disciplinary commercial and entrepreneurial skills with leveraging extensive high level business and political networks to achieve positive outcomes.

Dr Isabella Hajduk

Project Manager

​Isabella has over 10 years of experience in both science research (molecular microbiology) and tertiary education in a  range of science subjects. 

Isabella completed her PhD in Molecular Microbiology under the supervision of Professor Liz Harry and Dr Christopher Rodrigues. During her PhD, she had the unique opportunity to partake in the internationally-run 'Biomedical  Innovation and Entrepreneurship training course in Taiwan, founded by Professor Michael Wallach in 2008. This course opened an opportunity to work with Professor Michael Wallach, where she now fills the role of Project Manager for CIMR, overseeing the organization of the aforementioned Bio-innovation course, SPARK Oceania and other international and national programs aiding academic scientists with education and mentorship for their translational research.
